Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Guide

Levelling

To increase the speed, with which you level, while still enjoying MW2, you’re going to want to; complete challenges, play effective game types, use decent and achievable killstreaks and use the right set-ups. The trick is to do the right challenges, in the right game modes, using the best set-up and changing your set-up for different maps. So naturally you’re going to want several set-ups, using your sniper for some maps, and smg for other, etc.

Personally I:
Level all assault rifles up to thermal scope unlock – skipping out the noobtube challenge.
Level all smg’s till all but fmj achievement is completed.
Level all snipers up until the thermal unlock.
I only level the AUG from the LMG’s and I don’t bother using the riot shield at any point.

While levels these weapons, you’ll also want to be level perks. There isn’t time to go into detail but overall I level my perks as below:
Marathon and Lightweight, always level them at the same time – if using a knifing tactic.
Sleight of hand, scavenger, bling, one man army, stopping power, hardline, commando, steady aim, ninja – should all be completed fully.
Danger close, scramber, last stand and cold-blooded should all be levels upto 5, not 6.
I don’t bother with sitrep.

Simply, you want to level each perk as fast as possible while completing other challenges. So you need to work on using certain weapons to level each perk. Importantly – always use sleight of hand (pro), stopping power and steady aim when scoping. The last two are not as important, but soh (pro) is a MUST!

That’s the basics for levelling quickly, other than this, look at challenges as they unlock and see which once will be easy to unlock. If it isn’t too much work and its worth the xp try out the challenge. I frequently changed my killsteaks to complete challenges.

Game Modes – personally I play free-for-all until I’ve completed the operations achievements. I then do the same with TDM – normal and hardcore. Once these challenges are complete I only really play domination, as it’s great xp and fun. If you want to mix it up, ground war is both domination and TDM (normal) just with larger teams and the TDM wins still count towards the achievement.

Killstreaks – you’ll want to use killstreaks that you can achieve, otherwise they are pointless. Personally I use predator missile, harriers/chopper and chopper gunner. Remember two helicopters cannot be called in at one time. Other combinations work well, but for me this is definitely the best – if you want to nuke, swap it for the predator.

I only had a short time to write this and cannot really cover everything so quickly. If you want to know anything else message me on forums/steam or chat on mumble. Using voice anything can be explained in minutes =).
Hope this helps people out a bit, and as I say feel free to ask anything else.

SAGEA - REMEMBER - DON'T FAP BEFORE YOU PRED - and miss the 5 kills in one pred.
I learnt the hard way!
